Spinach with Alfredo Sauce Recipe

Alfredo Sauce - A Variation with Spinach

Spinach Alfredo sauce - Another variation of Alfredo sauce with spinach

This recipe was submitted by Antonia from New York. Thank you!
When the salty taste of spinach blends with the creamy salty peppery taste of Alfredo sauce the result is absolutely delightful, gorgeous and lip smacking. At least to me :) If you think it is just a word of mouth then you should just try this recipe. If you are a lover of green leaves and creamy sauce, then you won’t wait to try it, anyhow. So here we go…

Ingredients

2 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoon chopped garlic
2 cups of evaporated milk
1 tablespoon black pepper
½ tablespoon crushed nutmeg
1 tablespoon flour
½ cup of parmesan cheese
½ cup cream cheese
¼ cup coconut milk

Directions

1. Take a pan and heat olive oil in it, then add chopped garlic and fry till slightly brown.
2. Now add flour, salt, pepper, nutmeg and evaporated milk. Cook until it comes to boil.
3. Wash the spinach thoroughly and let it dry. Chop it and give it into the pan. Let it cook for about 8 to 10 minutes at a low heat until spinach seems to be cooked.
4. Add cream cheese, parmesan cheese and coconut milk and cook until thick. Pour it over your dish and adore the lovely taste.

Tips

Always wash spinach carefully as unwashed green leaves can be harmful as their might be dirt on them. You can also use evaporated non fat milk instead of usual evaporated milk if you want fewer calories.
